Mark GregstonMark is the founder and Executive Director of Heartlight, a residential counseling center for struggling teens. He is also the host of the Parenting Today’s Teens radio program, heard on over 1,650 outlets, and spends most weekends leading parenting seminars. A grandparent to four, Mark has been married to his wife, Jan, for 42 years. His background in Young Life, the local church, living with over 3,000 teens, and helping thousands of parents has provided the experience to speak and write to the issues surrounding today’s contrary teen culture.
Mark’s daily and weekend radio features, "Parenting Today’s Teens with Mark Gregston," can be heard on over 1,650 outlets throughout North America. The National Religious Broadcasters recently recognized the radio program by awarding it’s prestigious “Program of the Year” to the "Parenting Today’s Teens" broadcast. Mark leads weekend "Tough Guys & Drama Queens" parenting seminars throughout North America, and is a frequent conference and retreat keynote speaker. He brings a comforting wit and humor to audiences, as he shares his biblically based and practical experience of dealing with today’s teens, and ushers in an atmosphere of hope as he encourages parents how to deal with adolescents in crisis. His video series are viewed by thousands involved in small groups, church classes, and parent communities seeking to gain a greater understanding of the today’s teen’s social world, and gather new effective and practical ways to counter the affects this contrary culture is having on their teen. Those series are titled, Dealing with Struggling Teens and Tough Guys & Drama Queens. Mark is also the chairman of the board of directors for America World Adoption Agency of McLean, Virginia, and most recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Faith Radio group located in Madison, Wisconsin.
